Looking excited and a tad nervous about the audience's reactions, actress Katie Holmes made her way to the Music Box Theater, NYC, for the opening night of her new Broadway project "Dead Accounts," Nov. 29 reports The Daily Mail.

The actress looked stunning in a bright red trenchcoat worn over a blue shirt and black polka dotted pants. Holmes who paired this ensemble with pointy pumps, looked fresh and happy, probably the aftereffect of spending Thanksgiving with her family in Ohio. With barely any makeup and her hair pulled up in a bun she smiled at onlookers. After going back and forth between dressing classy and drab, Holmes once again managed to look fabulous even with the nervousness clearly written on her face.

The show was also attended by Holmes' proud parents who were there to support their daughter. Missing in action was 6-year-old Suri who is often seen with Holmes. Suri reunited with her father Tom Cruise and spent Thanksgiving with him in London where Cruise is shooting for the movie, "All You Need is Kill."

Suri and Cruise reunited after three months. By spending the holiday together, Cruise has quashed rumors of him abandoning Suri due to his beliefs in Scientology.

In the play, Holmes enacts the role of Lorna who has moved back to Cincinnati to live with her parents after a failed relationship. The play has received a warm welcome even though it features nominal depth but Holmes is said to have brought naturalness to it according to the hollywoodreporter.com.

The site also goes on to say, "The set-up is capable if a little unhurried, but the payoff is negligible, too often stuffing overworked wisdom into its characters' mouths to make points upon which the writer fails to expand."

The play also features actors like Norbert Leo Butz, Judy Greer, Josh Hamilton and Jayne Houdyshell.
