Singing sensation Justin Bieber might have a lot of fans who not only adore his music but even his style, be it the boot like sneakers, his baggy pants or his sporty T-shirts. While those clothes might be perfect for casual appearances and stage shows, shouldn’t Bieber have suited up at least to meet the Canadian Prime Minister?
Beiber’s choice of a pair of blue and white striped overalls with one side unbuttoned over a white T-shirt did not go down well with the audience. Teamed with a pair of neon sneakers, he accessorized his look with tiny ear studs and a silver chain. And to top it all, Bieber completed his extra casual look with a baseball cap worn in reverse. Come on even someone as casual as Mark Zuckerberg who is mostly seen in hoodies and jeans, made it a point to wear a suit and tie when he met President Barrack Obama.
Well, we think the singer went a bit too far on the casual quotient, considering it was a formal event where Bieber was being honored with a Diamond Jubilee Medal by the Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper reported justjared.com. The medal is awarded to those Canadians who make commendable achievements abroad and the event also marked the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's rise to the throne.
And it’s not just us who think that Bieber was dressed too casually for the event. A number of bloggers commented on the 18-year-old’s casual attitude to such an important event and even branded him as “White Trash Prince” on Gawker.com.
Strangely Bieber seemed to enjoy this whole debate. Finding it amusing he even tweeted a picture saying, “I met the Prime Minister in overalls lol.” And as if this wasn’t enough, he also posted a picture on Instagram with a caption, “I hope you hate my style.”
