In early times, athletes like gymnasts, swimmers, runners or boxers stuck to just those fields which they were masters of. But times have changed and so have these traditions. These days, athletes make a foray into the world of fashion and glamour just as easily as they make their mark in the game.

Just in August this year, Olympic boxer and bronze medalist Marlen Esparza decided to launch her line of fashion and beauty products. Esparza also has been a known face as she has appeared in Nike, Coca Cola, and McDonald’s commercials.

Jessica Ennis an athlete who won a gold medal in heptathlon at London Olympics 2012 seems to be the new kid in the block. The gold medalist may not be starting any fashion line but she sure knows how to dazzle at red carpet events. Ennis attended the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards at the Claridge’s hotel according to The Telegraph.

Emily Blunt, who was also present at the event and picked up the British Actor of the Year Award, looked very stylish in a bright orange floor length gown.

Ennis along with track cyclist Victoria Pendleton and Ellie Simmonds was honored with the British Ambassadors of the Year Award.
