It is not unusual for numerous celebs to be in the news for wrong reasons. Controversy’s favorite child Britney Spears is one of them. The pop star recently featured on the cover shoot of Lucky magazine’s December edition and it was pretty obvious that she was wearing a wig. The cover photo was not very well received by readers and the magazine has issued an apology regarding the same on its Twitter page.

The “X Factor” judge is seen on the cover page dressed in a red skirt, a pink belt with a tiny bow and a black semi see-through top. Spears undoubtedly looks very trendy and effortlessly stylish, but the singer’s hairline looks abnormally low. It is not the just the cover picture that has raised questions among fans and critics, but also the other pictures inside the magazine that are featured along with her interview.

The third picture of Spears in a pink top with a white slim bow belt teamed with a black skirt also looks equally retouched. For fans and critics who have observed the “Toxic” hit maker’s style and fashion over a period of time, it wouldn’t take too long to notice the oddity.

The singer’s pictures look like they have been heavily edited and following the criticism and backlash, Lucky magazine Tweeted an apology saying, “Thank you all for sharing your thoughts on our cover! As always, we will share with our team and we're sorry to have let some of you down.”

So annoyed were fans at the retouched images, one of them even went to the extent of Tweeting, “@LuckyMagazine That cover looks horrible. Did @britneyspears even show up for the photoshoot or did you just photoshop her face on a body”
