We wonder if women these days still dream about the white fairytale wedding. We are sure that the fairytale part still holds good, but the white seems to have been replaced by pink, red, ivory, black and many more. Various celebs like Anne Hathaway, Reese Witherspoon, Juliana Moore and Gwen Stefani have exchanged vows dressed in pink. The newest bride to think pink is Jessica Biel.

The 30-year-old actress tied the knot with her boyfriend of five years, singer Justin Timberlake, in a private ceremony in Italy, according to the People magazine. The couple enjoyed an engagement of one year before getting married this month. The newlyweds are said to have been married by Hollywood director Bill Purple and had handwritten their vows.

Timberlake told People, “(It was) very personal. (They were) filled with our love for each other and what this means for us. I can't let more than 10 minutes go by without some moments of comedy so they were funny and heartwarming.”

Breaking the tradition of white gowns, Biel wore a pink strapless gown with an elaborate train designed by Giambattista Valli. With her hair in an updo, she wore a veil and pink lip color and looked happy and radiant. Timberlake looked dapper and very excited in a black Tom Ford tuxedo which the singer helped in designing.

Later, Timberlake serenaded his bride with a song written especially for her.

It’s not just celebs who are seen in colored wedding gowns. Wedding dresses of various colors have been trending at the ramps too. Ace designer Vera Wang last year unveiled a range of stunning black wedding gowns. It is said that anyone who wears black to a wedding strongly opposes the wedding. But with a collection like Wang’s, the bride herself would be thrilled to don the unconventional color. After making news for the black gowns, the popular designer showcased a collection of striking red wedding gowns for spring 2013.

Thus, with famed designers and celebs opting for a contemporary look when it comes to wedding gowns, it looks like the trend is really catching up; and that’s good news for all us fashionistas, as we get to see some of the most elegant and stylish designs.
