Fashionistas across the world have admired Kate Middleton’s style for quite some time now. And she sure knows how to flaunt the best trends and designs without ever looking over-the-top. Not just the Duchess of Cambridge, however, we all have loved Sarah Jessica Parker’s style too. Right from the days she played the role of Carrie Bradshaw in “Sex and the City”, fans have tried to ape her style.
While it might not be possible to have exactly the same style as these renowned celebs, here is a chance to have the same stylist as they do. Ace designer Prabal Gurung has collaborated with the U.S. high-street fashion chain Target, and is all set to make a foray into high-street fashion, as reported by fashionunited.co.uk. The launch is scheduled for Feb. 10 next year.
The 38-year-old designer is known for his unique and sophisticated designs that, he once said, were inspired from his mother’s sense of style. The collection to be launched in collaboration with Target will feature pieces like clothes, jewelry, bags and shoes. Considering that the collection will be launched so close to Valentine’s Day, it takes its inspiration from ‘love’.
“My own collection is also inspired by the idea of emotion and all of those things,” Gurung told US Vogue. “Since this is coming out in February, I thought it was the perfect fit.”
Gurung has always impressed critics with his unique designs and awed everyone when actress Kate Hudson recently wore a red dress from his Spring Resort 2013 collection during the amFAR Inspiration Gala in Los Angeles.
“Target’s partnership with Prabal Gurung embodies our commitment to bringing great design to our guests at truly affordable prices,” the site quoted Trish Adams, senior vice president of apparel and accessories, as saying.
The Parsons School of Design graduate debuted at the New York Fashion Week in 2009 and has, since then, made an indelible mark in the fashion industry. Gurung’s new collection will retail from $13 to $200.
