Quinceanera.com along with its parent company El Clasificado showcased the latest party trends in a festive show at the last Quinceanera.com Expo and Fashion Show of 2012. The event was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in San Diego, Oct. 14, and was open to the public.
The event attracted a number of guests who enjoyed the eclectic fashion show and got access to information about the best deals that would help them plan well-organized and fun parties.
The event also featured Mexican designer Raul Corona and Orange County-based retailer Moda 2000. Corona unveiled ample gowns with his signature long trains, and followed a pink-white-nude color palette. With simple and elegant designs, Corona’s collection sure did steal hearts. Moda 2000 presented a colorful variation of cocktail and Quinceanera dresses. The dresses featured thoughtful and detailed designs which were complimented by their striking color schemes. Both fashion show sponsors were exclusive partners of the Quinceanera.com Expo and Fashion Show throughout 2012.
Kenia Robles, Quinceanera.com Magazine’s 2012 San Diego Cover Girl, was visibly excited. Speaking about the experience of being on the cover, she described it as one of the best moments of her life. “Being presented on today’s stage and having my picture on the cover of the magazine is more than I have ever imagined,” she said.
As a winner of the cover girl contest, Robles received a professional photo shoot, an exclusive interview in the issue that she graced, and the option of taking a cash prize or a Quinceañera dress. She also kick-started the fashion show of the event.
“We’ve been able to meet with so many Quinceañera girls and expose our different products,” said Tara Swansen, promotions manager of Seventeen Magazine for Cover Girl. “We were also able to partner with CoverGirl and Herbal Essences to do mini makeovers and complimentary braids.”
The Quinceanera.com Expo and Fashion Show also aided the numerous exhibitors that showcased their party services. “Approximately 80 to 100 people have already reserved services with us. We’ve participated in Quinceanera.com’s events for two years now and with these results we will definitely continue to do so,” Juan Gardini, operations manager of Men’s Wearhouse noted.
The show ended in a celebratory fashion with the raffle of a Raul Corona and Moda 2000 Quinceañera dress courtesy of El Clasificado. Other giveaways included an Apple iPad courtesy of El Clasificado and different vendor raffles.
