Heidi Klum sure knows how to steal hearts on the red carpet. First, the model and actress made a stunning appearance at the 2012 Emmy Awards dressed in an Alexandre Vauthier simple yet appealing gown, and now she does it again.
The mother of four attended the Children’s Hospital Gala in Los Angeles where she was honored with the “Courage to Care Award” for her support toward the hospital’s mission and the patients it caters to, according to a report by justjared.com
The 39-year-old German model posed at the red carpet in a silver and shimmery strapless dress adorned with sequins, which clung to her figure. The actress teamed the knee-length dress, which showed off her toned legs, with equally stylish silver strappy heels. Klum left her blonde hair loose and it framed her face perfectly. Sporting a tinge of lip color and eye shadow, the actress beamed at the camera. With just a pair of ear studs and finger rings, Klum flaunted perfectly manicured red nails.
The gala was also attended by renowned actors and philanthropists, to support the hospital’s needs and the funds required. Actor Antonio Banderas was seen looking dapper and well-dressed in a black suit and tie along with wife Melanie Griffith, who stepped out in a floral strapless floor-length gown.
Griffith accessorized her look with a diamond and ruby necklace and matching ear studs. She sported a hint of eye makeup and bold red lips.
Talking about the event, Klum told heraldonline.com, “It’s such an honor to be recognized today, but it’s the incredible nurses and doctors who perform miracles every day. I know as a parent I get nervous if one of my own has a fever or a cough, so I’m in awe of what’s accomplished every day inside the walls of Children's Hospital Los Angeles. What these kids go through everyday amazes me and it’s been an honor and a privilege to be part of such an incredible institution.”
The Children’s Hospital Gala, attended by more than 1000 guests, was presented by The Walt Disney Company. It was inspired by an 11-year-old terminal cancer patient, Dustin Meraz, whose last wish was to encourage adults to have the “courage to care”, the paper reports.
