Fashion icon Leighton Meester never seems to disappoint fans. The actress, who plays Blair Waldorf in the hit television series “Gossip Girl”, looked stunning in a red Giambattista Valli color-block wool dress, according to a report by celebritystyleguide.com.

The 26-year-old star looked very elegant and stylish in the outfit. Her petite waist was accentuated by the black panel on the dress and her hair looked glossy and lustrous. With a tinge of pink lipstick, she kept her makeup minimal and completed her ensemble with a pair of nude heels.

Meester is busy promoting her new film “The Oranges”. The film releases Oct. 5 and also stars Hugh Laurie, Catherine Keener and “The O.C.” heart-throb Adam Brody. She also starred in the 2011 thriller “The Room Mate”, in which she played a girl suffering from bipolar disorder. The film also starred Minka Kelly and Cam Gigandet.

Extremely popular for the role of Blair, Meester has a classic and enviable sense of style. She was recently spotted by The Daily Mail on the sets of “Gossip Girl” looking an epitome of sophistication in a patterned off-white floral coat, gray trousers, blue high heeled shoes and a golden chain bag.

Meester’s style has evolved over the years from loud and over-the-top to simple-chic. She has often been spotted at various red carpet events and her style never gets monotonous. She looks like a diva even in the simple pair of shorts she donned at the MTV Movies Awards in June this year.

Hit series “Gossip Girl” is in its last season. It will premiere Oct. 8 and run through December. Talking about the end of the show, Meester called it “bittersweet”. “But at the same time, it's great to move on and do something different. Playing the same character for six years is great, but it's exciting to do other things and also just sleeping and spending time with my family,” E!Online quoted her as saying.

“Gossip Girl” might come to a close this year, but it’s doubtful that audiences will ever forget the lovely Blair Waldorf and her classic sense of style.
