New York-based fashion house Jovani stunned everyone at the Brooklyn Fashion Week with its latest couture collections. The Spring/Summer 2013 Couture show featured seven international women’s wear designers who celebrated the influence of fashion worldwide.

The 14-piece couture collection was designed by Jovani’s head designer Julie DuRocher. The collection combined classic designs and contemporary style, with a lot of intricate embellishment detailing, along with beads, peacock feathers and fringes. The ruffles looked very delicate, and the dresses featured during the show succeeded in charming the audience.

A brand that designs luxury evening and couture gowns, it sells in over 3,000 specialty stores and major department stores like Nordstrom, Bloomingdales and more.

The Spring/Summer Couture collection featured painstakingly planned and designed outfits with various components that sparkled under the dazzling lights. Jovani showcased a variety of long and short dresses.

The dresses may have exuded a subtle sex appeal, but kept the glamour and elegance intact with their simple and creative designs. A dress with embellished beats and ruffled feathers seemed perfect to transfer one to the world of fairies and mermaids. A peacock dress was delightfully matched with green embellishments and brought out the spirit of the collection. A dress in turquoise green with a slide slit was stunning.

DuRocher, who walked the finale with a model, was dressed in a lovely knee-length dress with black embellishments, which the designer paired with black stockings and ankle-length boots.

Cherished Feet founder and socialite Karen Koeningsberg was seen in the front row during the show. Koeningsberg was dressed in a beautiful navy blue Jovani cocktail dress. Jovani is a popular choice among A-list celebs like Miranda Lambert and Selita Ebanks and is often seen at various red carpet events.
