Cuyana.com has announced Argentina as its fourth destination on its official site. The women’s shopping brand has already launched collections from Ecuador, Peru and India. Inspired by the local fashion and materials from each destination, Cuyana features limited edition items on its site.
The Argentine Collection celebrates the people and culture of the country. The collection has transformed Argentina’s finest leather, llama and merino wool and metals into elegant timeless pieces.
Founded by duo Karla Gallardo and Shilpa Shah, Cuyana features some of the most fashion-forward and trendy products, which add a touch of class to every outfit.
“We want to elevate the fashion industry by providing timeless style while supporting sustainable change and creating products that have soul and meaning,” says Gallardo. “The Argentina collection includes beautiful pieces that we created with local Argentinean craftsman which we hope inspires consumers the way it has inspired us.”
Founded in 2011 with a mission to elevate the fashion industry, Cuyana means “to love” in Quechua, the traditional language of the Andean tribes. The brand features a range of totes, saddle bags, sling bags, briefcases and iPad cases, hats, clutches, scarves and jewelry like bangles, necklaces, rings, brooches, earrings and more.
Gallardo and Shah travel across the world to find the most fashionable, one-of-a-kind accessories, which make it to the Cuyana collection. The brand also holds personal meaning to both of them, as they are from multicultural backgrounds. They aim to make consumers appreciate the value of handmade goods by directly using each country's resources.
As part of Cuyana’s mission to introduce change, a percentage of profits from the Argentina collection and all upcoming collections will be donated to Charity Water, a nonprofit organization that works to provide access to safe drinking water for those who don't have it.
The collection will be available through the holidays on Cuyana.com. It includes crafted gold and bronze jewelry, wool pashminas and a variety of leather goods.
