Katherine Hooker will present her latest collection of coats and jackets with the opening of a pop-up store in New York City. This pop-up store is Hooker’s only other, apart from her flagship store in London.

The British designer is extremely popular for her signature tweed coats and blazers, right from her sculpted Hacking Jacket to her lean, elegant Opera Coat. Hooker will personally be available at the shop for any consultations on fabric, fit and style.

The Autumn/Winter line includes the Franklin Coat which comes in a fitted three-quarter length, and a collarless Tallulah Coat. The season’s collection, inspired from the Spanish Civil War, also includes the Westcott jacket with stylish oversized pockets, a classic Cain jacket, a modern Cape coat and a cropped Daisy jacket with a blend of English heritage and a city-sharp style.

Hooker’s designs are extremely chic and elegant, with a mix of Old World charm and the latest trends. Her passion for fabrics takes her to various far-off places in Scotland, from where she makes use of Shetland lamb’s wool, pure cashmere and Harris Tweed.

Sophisticated and luxurious, Hooker’s designs are very up-to-date with quirky lines, trims and buttons. The Cape jackets that come in a striking turquoise color are very eye-catching and classy. The Harvey Bag, a softly shaped tote made from herringbone tweed and trimmed with supple chocolate leather, will also be available.

Offered in made-to-order tailoring as well as ready-to-wear, Hooker’s collection is both practical and fabulous. She can boast of an enviable line of clients like Kate and Pippa Middleton, Meryl Streep, Blythe Danner, Zoe Saldana and Jemma Kidd, among others.

The Soho pop-up store will feature Hooker’s popular vests, jackets, coats, and other ready-to-wear products. The shop, at 436 West Broadway, begins Oct. 5 and runs through Oct. 14.
