Saks Fifth Avenue at Galleria, Houston, is celebrating Contemporary Week, as it brings brands and a shopping-friendly atmosphere.

It will also start a new contemporary men’s fashion department that features the first unique Ferragamo shop, a new Burberry store with an expanded range of merchandise and a Mont Blanc shop. There are a number of other additions like Brioni Sportswear, Sand, Altea, Valentino and CARR, designed by Houston local George, all known for its range of sportswear. There will be a wider variety of men’s accessories like bags, sunglasses and more.

To boost the shopping experience, Saks Fifth Avenue Men’s Collection will also include styles and designs from Italian designers, and the new bar, “12”, will offer a full bar and snacks-and-coffee option to nibble on while shopping.

Fortunately, this thrill of shopping is not just restricted to men. Women can continue shopping at favorites like Marc by Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, DVF, Theory and Tory Burch. Apart from merchandise by these big brands, the Contemporary Week also offers free yoga classes by Define Yoga Studios, Sean Hurley of Hurley denim and an on-site denim alteration station.

Women can also enjoy the Beauty Week and get information on the latest fall trends and looks from contemporary favorites at Saks Fifth Avenue Houston. Shoppers can find out about the various tips and tricks to complete the season’s looks, choosing from all the best cosmetic lines and product demos available at the store.

To launch the men’s Contemporary event, Saks, in partnership with Houston magazine, will host an ISAIA Cocktail event Sept. 27 from 6.30-8.30 p.m. The event, “Saks Rocks”, starting Sept. 29, will be held every Saturday from 1-5 p.m. till Oct. 20. The event starts with DJ Gus T and closes with DJ Joe Ross next month.

The excitement doesn’t stop there. The contemporary departments of both men and women will also feature a Twitter contest with a chance to win a $100 Saks gift card; and a purchase of $250 at either men’s or women’s contemporary shops will bring along an AG Adriano Goldschmied iPhone 4/4S case as a free gift.
