The Latin Fashion Week is all set to dress New York City with its Latin charm and the latest of styles. The theme of the Latin Fashion Week, "Ola",which literally means "Hello" or "Welcome", is a fashion, beauty, music and art event that intends to showcase the talent of Latin and multicultural designers.

"Ola! and Welcome to our family Latin Fashion Week" is their motto for 2012. The event features artists like Meny Sabel, Andy Andy and Paquito Guzman, as well as local artists like singers and break dancers who will present their latest album.

The Latin Fashion Week will also join Gallery Expo, which carries an exhibition of local and international business, "to create business ties with the U.S.," said Sobeidy Vidal, president and CEO of Latin Fashion Week.

In addition to emerging designers, the fashion week also features renowned and qualified designers like Tim Bradley, Ilka Harrygan, Edith Carey, Jaggy Owl, Mia Elliott and many more.

The Latin Fashion Week aims to unite the diversity of various designers to create a truly international fashion power house. It includes fresh talent, while supporting new trends and styles at an international fashion venue.

The fashion week serves as a great opportunity for emerging talents to showcase their creations, as they tend to get international recognition from a popular event like this.

The Latin Fashion Week was recently invited to present and showcase their designers and be a part of an event in Dubai. "This invitation gives us the certainty that we are on the right track, walking the avenues to achieve our goal," Vidal said.

The Latin Fashion Week also presented "Ola" at the New York Fashion Week, where it featured designers like Adolfo Sanchez, Kate Ferguson and more. Ferguson owns the K James Couture, and has designed heels for celebs like Katy Perry and Rihanna.

The Latin Fashion Week is scheduled from Oct. 5-7 at the Washington Conventional Center and a portion of proceeds from ticket sales will go to LUZs Foundation, which allows low-income youth to pursue a higher education in the arts.
