Fashionistas this year can enjoy the London Fashion Week in a different kind of way, removed from the rush and noise of Oxford Street, by heading to Mayfair and Belgravia. Famous for fashion and glamour, they are the most popular luxury shopping destinations at Central London. The two destinations are managed by Grosvenor.
Mayfair’s Mount Street plays host to designers Christian Louboutin, Marc Jacobs and Jenny Packham, along with renowned restaurants and jewelry shops. There are a number of unique boutiques and designer shops with a vast collection of clothes, bags, footwear and other accessories.
Belgravia’s classic Elizabeth Street is home to brands like Philip Treacy and Allegra Hicks, and Motcomb Street features flagship boutiques from Carolina Bucci and Louise Kennedy.
Not just that, May Fair Hotel in Stratton Street, which is the official sponsor of the London Fashion Week, also features special fashion-focused promotions.
After a tiring day at the fashion show, guests can relax and soothe their senses at the May Fair Hotel Spa, which will offer the Murad Runway Ready Facial and the Catwalk Wrap as part of the London Fashion Week celebrations.
London Fashion Week, being one of the most popular fashion events in the world, attracts a large number of fashion-lovers. The hustle and bustle of the show can take a toll not just on designers and models, but on guests also. This is a fun way to enjoy the fashion week, being pampered and looked after in the popular hotels. Just the thought of a relaxing spa and cocktails after a tedious day is welcoming and blissful.
The May Fair Bar will serve a collection of cocktails designed by London Fashion Week designers that includes The Olivia Rubin, a cocktail of vodka and lychee juice with edible purple pansies, and a pair of tipples created by the Antoni & Alison design duo.
“Mayfair and Belgravia have long been regarded as London’s most glamorous and desirable districts, which makes them natural homes for some of the world’s most prestigious high-end fashion brands, and for some of London’s best shopping streets. They’re close to the main event venues, too, so those visiting London Fashion Week can browse our shops, take afternoon tea or pamper themselves with a spa treatment, without having to travel too far from where the action is,” a Grosvenor representative said.
Renowned designers and their creations will be seen at The London Fashion Week 2012 scheduled for Sept. 14- 18 and the complementary London Fashion Weekend that runs from Sept. 20-23.
