Going out and wondering what to wear? Here comes some help. Dress Code Finder has announced the launch of its website that carries a database of dress codes for bars, nightclubs and restaurants across the U.S. The site provides assistance for anyone who is confused about what to wear.
A startup based in New York, Dress Code Finder has invested a lot of time and effort to gather information about dress codes at various bars, nightclubs and restaurants and now their team is working on a new feature that provides advice by experts. The experts will answer all frequently-asked questions.
“What do I wear?” is one of the most common questions we ask ourselves every day, be it to work, or for parties, or even for a quick run on daily errands. People stand in front of their closets every day, browsing through their clothes, wondering what suits the occasion best.
Dress Code Finder gives at least one less thing to worry about. Browsing through the site, suggestions for nightclub- or restaurant-appropriate wear can be found, safeguarding against the awkward moment of landing at a formal occasion in those rugged denims you love.
“Until now, there has been nowhere to go to find out. Official websites provide little guidance. And you can trawl through discussions on sites like Yelp and TripAdvisor and often find no mention at all of what the reviewer wore or everyone else was wearing,” says Kevin Kauril, the co-founder of the site.
The site is launching with more than 70,000 venues. For each venue, the site describes the dress code in detail, along with photos and comments by other users.
“The site is not only for fashionistas and people who go to high-end restaurants and clubs. Nor is it only for women. A common problem a lot of guys face is whether they can wear sneakers or shorts to a bar,” Kauril adds.
The site will continue adding new venues to its database. In addition, the site will also launch a feature that advices people what to wear to work, weddings and cocktail parties.
