Coconut Oil

Applying it before bed allows time for absorption, resulting in smoother skin. Rich in fatty acids, coconut oil boosts collagen production and improves moisture levels. However, it can be comedogenic and may leave the skin drier over time if overused. A good rule is to wash it off with lukewarm water after 15 minutes of application. Warm up coconut oil and apply it as a moisturizer for hydrated, nourished skin.


Honey is a powerhouse for skin health, boasting antibacterial properties and aiding collagen production. It is deeply moisturizing and soothing, similar to its comforting effect on a sore throat. Honey's gentle exfoliating properties make it an ideal natural skincare ingredient. Opt for organic or raw honey for maximum benefits, as processed honey may lack nutrients.

If this ingredient ends up staining your skin, you can use rubbing alcohol on your hands and nails, or a paste of lemon and baking soda for your skin. Follow this with a warm rinse.

It also prevents breakouts and dullness. Experts even believe that simply drinking plenty of water can help you prevent acne breakouts.
