Pop sensation Lady Gaga has once again made news for her choice of outfit. Fur seems to be the new obsession with Gaga during the widely popular “Born This Way Ball” tour, but this obsession has created uproar among numerous animal activists.

According to E! News, Islamic organizations have been outraged by Lady Gaga wearing a burqa during the London Fashion Week. Not just the burqa, even the clutch she carried has angered people as it had profanity emblazoned on it.

“That comes across as a clear insult to Muslims and Islam,” E! News quoted a Chicago-based representative of several Muslim groups as saying.

Gaga has often been criticized for wearing outrageous outfits and her loud sense of fashion often strikes a nerve. But the current outrage can be a bit confusing, as Gaga has constantly been talking about her compassion for all religions.

In an interview with the Chicago Sun Times, Gaga said that she was “extremely upset” with the release of a horrible 14-minute trailer for an anti-Muslim film that may have had a hand in the murder of U.S. ambassador Chris Stevens and his three colleagues in Benghazi, Libya.

The next leg of Gaga’s “Born This Way Ball” tour includes Madonna and commences in January, encompassing about 24 cities in North America.

Madonna and Lady Gaga have often been compared with each other. Lady Gaga has long expressed her admiration for Madonna, whereas Madonna has not been quite as enthusiastic about it. She even said that the song “Born This Way” was a ‘reductive’ of her hit “Express Yourself”.

Madonna dedicated a song to Gaga at a show in Atlantic City, but most agreed that it was a backhand compliment that was actually meant to take a dig at the 25-year-old.

Gaga will play at New York’s Madison Square Garden Feb. 22, Washington D.C., and Boston before returning to play in Brooklyn. Her North American tour leg will be wrapped up March 16 at Miami.
