Old Navy will organize a fashion show ‘The Fit for Fall Fashion Show for All’ Sept.14 in New York’s Bryant Park.
Old Navy invites women of all shapes and sizes to model their Rockstar skinny jeans and every guest who sashays down the jean-shaped runway will take home a free pair of jeans.
“Our Rockstar skinny jeans offer the perfect fit for everybody, and we're inviting everybody to rock them on our runway. We're doing a fashion show the Old Navy way, bringing the fun to all and turning our customers into models,” Michelle DeMartini, senior vice president, Old Navy Adult Merchandising and Brand Licensing, said.
The event also features an all-star entertainment lineup featuring a celebrity host and a musical performance. Participants will even be coached on how to walk the ramp like a model.
The event will not just be restricted to New York. Old Navy will extend the fashion show experience to local markets for customers who are not in the city. Select stores in Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas, Toronto, Atlanta and San Francisco will shoot ‘model funfolios’. For this, shoppers in Rockstar denims can pose in front of a screen and their image will be transported digitally onto a runway for a model shot.
A quote by ace designer Karl Lagerfeld goes, “Never use the word ‘cheap’. Today everybody can look chic in inexpensive clothes (the rich buy them too). There is good clothing design on every level today. You can be the chicest thing in the world in a T-shirt and jeans — it’s up to you.”
Shape and size does not matter as long as one knows how to carry it off. Even in the most ordinary clothes, one can look very classy, be it just a simple pair of jeans or shorts. Old Navy is offering the perfect opportunity for women to appreciate their body and walk the ramp like a real model.
Available in 31 shades which are very trendy and fashionable, these skinny denims come in sizes 0-18 and retail at $34.50. “The Fit for Fall Fashion Show for All” event is scheduled Sept. 14 from 4-8 p.m.
