While celebrities such as Drew Barrymore, Pamela Anderson, and Gwyneth Paltrow are embracing aging, Cher candidly confessed that she is not a fan.

In a "Today" show interview, the pop culture icon expressed her disdain for aging, a sentiment apparently not shared by her late mother, Georgia Holt, who was more accepting of it.

When asked by NBC's Harry Smith if she and aging are "friends," Cher, who celebrated her 77th birthday in May, responded with a resounding, "No!"

"My mother did not mind, but I do," the singer added. "I hate it."

Smith agreed and confessed that turning 70 also hit him hard. In response, Cher remarked, "I'd give anything to be 70 again," before they both burst into laughter.

The conversation came after Smith brought up the 25th anniversary of Cher's hit song "Believe" and asked her how she felt about the "amazing" milestone.

"It's not that amazing," Cher admitted. "It pisses the f--- out of me."

This is not the first time the artist has opened up about her aversion to aging. Back in September, during a segment on "Good Morning Britain," she acknowledged that the reality of nearing 80 hasn't fully sunk in for her yet.

"It hasn't hit yet. I just can't believe I will be 80 at some point, sooner than I wish," Cher told the hosts. "I will still be wearing my jeans and I will still be wearing long hair and I will still be doing the same stuff I've always done."

She made similar comments during an interview with Oprah Winfrey when she was 68.

"I think it sucks," Cher said of getting older.

When Winfrey asked, "What about all the wisdom?" the singer jokingly cut her off and shrugged dismissively.

At the age of 52, Cher released her 22nd album, titled "Believe," with its title track becoming a massive hit globally, solidifying her impact on the music scene.
