Retail clothing chain Zara is entering the hair arena with its first-ever collection of hair products, further establishing its presence in the beauty sector. 

Zara Hair is set to debut its "Glitter in Gold" collection Thursday. The lineup includes two hair styling products, Gold Gel and Gold Glitter Spray, and two hair accessories, Gold Bobby Pins and the Gold Comb. The four-piece set retails for $49.90.

The brand tapped Guido Palau, a prominent British celebrity hairstylist, to craft, curate, and design the products of the collection, according to Marie Claire.

Palau has partnered with major industry figures, fashion publications like Vogue and W Magazine, and esteemed luxury brands like Prada and Balenciaga.

The hair expert described Zara Hair's inaugural collection as "makeup for your hair." The magazine noted that one of the products, Gold Gel, works like a highlighter cream and improves the hair's natural shine.

"I'm excited to see how people will use this fun makeup for hair. The two products are so easy to use," Palau told Marie Claire in an exclusive interview. "If you want a really dramatic look, just layer each product! First, using the gold gel then spray liberally with the glitter." 

Zara Hair also collaborated with Kaia Gerber, model and daughter of Cindy Crawford, appointing her as the spokesmodel for the launch.

She is featured in a series of videos promoting and celebrating the brand's debut.

In Zara's teaser video, Palau is seen preparing to style Gerber's hair using products from the collection.

Holding the Gold Gel and Gold Glitter Spray, the model enthusiastically expressed her fondness for gold.

The teaser concludes with a festive soundtrack, hinting that the collection launch aligns perfectly with the holiday season, making it an ideal choice for this time of year. A fan posted the teaser video on X, formerly Twittter.

Gerber has worked with Palau in the past. In 2020, amid the peak of the pandemic, the model shared a video on Instagram of the hairstylist guiding her through the process of dyeing her hair a fun pink color via a video call.
