Drew Barrymore Is Avoiding Plastic Surgery Due to 'Highly Addictive Personality'

Drew Barrymore says she hasn't gone under the knife and has no intentions of doing so anytime soon.
Plastic surgery has become increasingly common in society, including the entertainment industry.
But Barrymore, who has been in the industry since she was a child, revealed to People in an exclusive interview published Saturday that she hasn't undergone any plastic surgery and aims to steer clear of it for as long as possible.
"I haven't done anything, and I'm going to maintain that as long as possible," the actress and TV host told People.
She emphasized, however, that she doesn't pass judgment on those who choose to undergo cosmetic procedures, recognizing that the decision is entirely personal.
"I have zero judgment for anyone doing anything. But I don't see myself resorting to it," the "Charlie's Angels" actress explained.
Barrymore disclosed that her decision stems from her fear of becoming consumed by it due to her "highly addictive personality."
"I worry I'd continue to chase it, get this and that done," she admitted. "That scares me, just because of my own approach to things. So, I'm waiting on making any alterations."
The "Drew Barrymore Show" host also shared that this was the reason why she has colored her hair to the point where she doesn't know her real hair color anymore.
Barrymore went on to say that she embraces aging because "it means you're alive [and] you're living."
The 48-year-old mother also emphasized her commitment to prioritizing good health "above all else."
"Health really comes into focus more than anything when there is peril," she told the outlet. "If you have your health, then you can focus on so many other things - including beauty. But it really is the most important thing of all."
Over the years, Barrymore has been vocal about her reluctance to alter her appearance through plastic surgery.
Last year, in an episode of "The Drew Barrymore Show," she talked about aging and how she does not want to "fight nature."
"I'm raising two daughters, and we were raised in an industry where it was desired to drink off the fountain of youth," she said. "I just never subscribed to it."
Barrymore rose to stardom as a child actress in "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" in 1982. She then went on to star in a number of successful films between the 1990s and 2000s, transitioning from a child star to a leading lady.
She shares daughters Olive, 11, and Frankie, 9, with her ex, Will Kopelman.
