Rihanna's Savage X Fenty Soars While Fenty's Ready-to-Wear Is Shutting Down

The Grammy winners' Spring Collection 2021 comes weeks after Riri and her luxury collaboration with LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton will be on hiatus.

Earlier this month, WWD cited that the R&B icon and the luxury fashion house have mutually agreed to pause the Fenty fashion Maison after almost two years in circulation.

However, LVMH vowed to support "the growth and long-term development" Rihanna's other brand, which includes her skincare line and cosmetic brand: the Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin as well as the Savage X Fenty lingerie.

Back in 2019, the Barbadian native made history as the first black woman to lead a house under the LVMH brand through her fashion line, Fenty.

At the time, Riri shared that she was excited to be part of one of the biggest fashion houses.

"Designing a line like this with LVMH is an incredibly special moment for us. (Bernard) Arnault has given me a unique opportunity to develop a fashion house in the luxury sector, with no artistic limits," her statement reads as obtained by New York Times.
