To say that a lot of work goes into staging a fashion show is an understatement. Due respect must be observed. However, that was not the case at the Chanel show held during the recent Paris Fashion Week at the Grand Palais des Champs-Élysées.

The models for the Chanel Womenswear Spring/Summer 2020 were doing their finale walk when someone from the audience came up on the runway to join them. Interestingly, it wasn't creative director Virgie Viard who joined the models clad in her first ready-to-wear collection for Chanel.

It was, instead, Marie S'Infiltre (Marie Benoliel), a French YouTuber who crashed lingerie brand Etam's show earlier at the same event. After getting away with her first attempt, she then walked up the runway with the models of Chanel S/S 2020 together with supermodel Gigi Hadid.

The other models went on with their business, but it wasn't part of the show. Security personnel also had a hard time figuring out their target, with Benoliel wearing a black-and-white patterned outfit coupled with a black hat. Of her outfit, Benoliel says it was a vintage Chanel from her grandmother's closet.

Gigi Hadid Saves the Day

When the YouTuber turned to the direction of Hadid, the 5-foot-10 supermodel who stood about 6-feet in low-heeled boots felt compelled to stand for the integrity of the show. Regardless of who's watching, she put her arm out to stop the unscripted interlude.

Several in the audience have captured this moment and posted it on Instagram. Needless to say, there was much ruckus about the spectacle online.

Chanel, however, is not planning to make a big deal out of it. Doing so can only make the party crash more famous.

"We're not going to make a drama out of it," said a spokesperson from Chanel.

Gigi Hadid also kept mum about the issue while her sister Bella Hadid noted her act on Instagram as "iconic."

Nonetheless, in a not-so-subtle act, Gigi Hadid shared a post on her instagram stories. The said story was captioned "superhero @gigihadid" to which the supermodel responded with a winking cat woman GIF.

As for the French YouTuber, she insisted that her act was meant as a tribute to Chanel and her dream of being part of it for a few minutes: "I dreamed of becoming a Chanel muse," said Benoliel.

Asked about Hadid's approach, the YouTuber said that Gigi did not understand her comic approach. She further noted that Hadid was quite nervous and that she acted quite aggressively.

"I thought she was going to pull my hair and yell," Benoliel furthered.

She did not mention what the supermodel told her, though it certainly takes a lot of tact to confront the someone at this prestigious event.

Even though Hadid has been in the fashion headlines for weeks, it's not all good. She and Tyler Cameron reportedly had a falling out as soon as Fall came.

Following their split, rumors sparked that they were getting back together since the "Bachelorette" actor was spotted hanging out with Erin and Sarah Foster. Sarah's dad, David Foster, was previously married to Hadid's mom Yolanda, making the two her stepsisters at one point.

Still, nothing can take the model down. Despite these rumors, Hadid was spotted all smiles at the SNL after-party in New York. The supermodel wore black jeans with a multi-colored turtleneck, a red purse, a red lippie and a high ponytail to match.
