Ralph Lauren and US Olympic Committee promises to require all uniforms worn by US athletes be made in U.S.A.  

Ralph Lauren's US. athlete uniforms for the Opening Ceremony and Olympic Village in London, Olympics were found to be made in China, causing an uproar and outrage all the way up to the US Congress.

Members of Congress has asked questions regarding why the Lauren's outfits to why they were not manufactured in the United States.

"The pride of our Olympic athletes goes hand-in-hand with the pride in American innovation and manufacturing.
We shouldn't be going to the world stage with anything less. From head to toe, Team USA must be made in America." in a statement released by Rep. Steve Israel (D., N.Y) and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D.,N.Y) to the US Olympic committee. 

Ralph Lauren recently released a statement regarding the recent graft stating:

"We are honored to continue our longstanding relationship with the United States Olympic Committee in the 2014 Olympic Games by serving as an official outfitter of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic teams. Ralph Lauren promises to lead the conversation within our industry and our government to address the issue to increase manufacturing in the United States. We have committed to producing the opening and closing ceremony Team USA uniforms in the United States that will be worn for the 2014 Olympic Games."

The Ralph Lauren company and the United States Olympic Committee will now require U.S. Olympic uniforms to be made in the USA by 2014 Olympic games.
