The Colombian actress, model known for being a host for Univision in the late 90's, became an instant hollywood star as Gloria Delgado-Pritchette in ABC's Modern Family in 2012.

Sofia knows what she has and isn't afraid to flaunt it, Sophia shows her natural curves to fashion photographer Matt Jones, who have done covers for Elle, InStyle and Vogue, photographing celebrities including Scarlett Johansson, Giselle, Gwyneth Paltrow and Rihanna.

The Sexy Columbian actress opens up to Women's Health South Africa about her battle with cancer, her new found fame and being a sexy symbol.

The 39 year-old said she reached a new level of fame after appearing on ABC's Modern Family saying 'I'm much happier today - I've been in this business for 22 years - I was used to attention, but this show has taken it to a whole new level."

When asked about being a new sexy symbol the actress replied 'Well, at my age it's a surprise, no? I'm competing against girls who are 15 years younger than me - I think it's great that I'm showing a little bit more of the Latin look all over the world."

On a serious note Sophia does not take her lifestyle for granted, revealing to Women's Health that she had battled cancer back in 2000, "I had radiation therapy - I was very lucky, adding, It changes you just to hear you have cancer' said Sofia.
