Venessa joins Demi Lovato, Nicole Richie and January Jones in the current hair changing trend. The 'Highschool musical' actress is currenlty filming 'Spring breakers' with Salena Gomez and James Franco.

Venessa known for her free spirited persona maybe wanted alittle change for the season. Venessa posted on her personal blog.

" Look what I did......I've got some purple hair. Woot woot" Posting her new hair purple hair color.

On her facebook page Venessa posted the reason for the new hair change. The director wanted Venessa to have 'choppy' hair, she just added alittle bit of her magic touch.

"This is the big day I cut my hair. At first the hair stylist started and my director Ron (in the photo) thought it didn't look choppy enough. So, I grabbed the scissors, started cutting, an before I knew it so was Ron. Made for a quite interesting look!"

Venessa for the summer now has choppy shoulder length purple hair.
