Photographer Henry Hargreaves known for his works in big fashion houses Prada and Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) who four years ago decided to change his career from photographer to creative artist release "Jewelry story shot with a scanner."
In a interview with trendland Henry expressed his reasons for leaving fashion photography "I wanted to have control over my career, I wanted to be the one who was making the decisions and having their visions realized." adding "I took a lot of great experiences from the modeling days but I hit the ceiling of what I was likely to learn pretty fast so to move forward."
In his recent creative work Hargreaves tossed his camera aside and use the creativity of a scanner. Jewelry and model were pressed up against the bed of the scanner then scanned. The model had to be pressed against the scanner for at least 30 seconds to complete each image.
The creative idea to use a scanner as a free-form tool came from David Hockney and others, which Hargreaves cites.
