Braids aren't just for girls with long hair anymore! Celebrities including Miley Cyrus, Jaime Pressly and Shailene Woodley are proving that you can wear braids even if you have a pixie cut -- all it takes is a little bit of  of creativity.

Miley Cyrus, 22, added pink streaks to her peroxide blonde pixie and wove them into multiple braids at the 2015 amfAR Inspiration Gala in New York on June 16, wearing her hair long and in a pompadour style on top. We love her unique hairstyle!

Jaime Pressly, 37, got creative with her pixie at the Critics Choice Television Awards on May 31. The "My Name Is Earl" star braided her hair into a Mohawk-esque style that was both elegant and edgy.

Celebrity hairstylist Jonathan Hanousek said, "For Jaime's look we wanted something glamorous but with a twist. She loves her hair sleek but I wanted to see some texture, so I created her braided hawk." Read how to recreate Jaime's hairstyle here.

Shailene Woodley, 23, went more traditional at the MTV Movie Awards back in April. She wore a tiny side braid, adding some texture to her long pixie cut.

Although braided pixie cuts are becoming more common, Miley, Jaime and Shailene aren't the first to pull off the look. Kelly Osbourne has occasionally worn her Mohawk in braids, especially over the past year.

Carey Mulligan was way ahead of the trend, memorably rocking a side braid similar to Shailene Woodley's while growing out her pixie cut back in 2010.
