After a roller coaster ride of events full of drama on "The Bachelor," Chris Soules finally popped the question to Whitney Bischoff. However, after various cheating rumors with his "Dancing With The Stars" partner, it looks like the couple have actually announced their breakup.

After making a public announcement about the split, the two of them speak out for the first time on social media.

"I can't thank you all enough for the kind messages over the past few days," said Soules on Twitter. "This has been really though and your support means a lot to me."

Bischoff also added, "From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your outpouring love, kindness and support! It means so much to me!"

Not only did the fans find the news to be surprising, but their friends as well. Erin Andrews, "Dancing With The Stars" co-host admitted that she was shocked as she's always seen the two hit it off.

"I had no idea because I follow it just like everybody else does on Twitter," said Andrews to E! News. "I think [Whitney] posted for the six-month anniversary of the proposal so this was a shock to me."

Andrews admitted she found out on social media and stated that she was "shocked" to hear the news.

"I'm a geek on Twitter and I was like, 'breaking news you guys!' She was around our studio a lot on Mondays and Tuesdays so I had no idea this was coming," said Andrews.

Just two months after Soules and Bischoff's season finale, the couple made a joint statement on Thursday their painful decision to split.

"Whitney Bischoff and Chris Soules have mutually and amicably decided to end their engagement," said the couple to Us Weekly. "They part with nothing but respect and admiration for one another and will continue to be supportive friends. They wish to thank everyone who has supported them through this journey."

The creator of "The Bachelor," Mike Fleiss first broke the news on Twitter saying, "Sad news to report: @souleschris and @whitbisch are no longer engaged..."

The couple just celebrated six months of being engaged and constantly denied the rumors of a split happening while Soules was on "Dancing With The Stars."

"We're together and we're in love," said Soules to the magazine. "We're making the best of a really cool situation that we're both a part of that's not going to last much longer... We're just normal people living a kind of abnormal life for a couple more weeks."

Bischoff returned to Chicago to continue her career as a fertility nurse while Soules is busy on his family's Arlington, Iowa farm. The split comes shortly after Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray announced their breakup in a similar joint statement.
