Advance Style by Lina Piloplyte and Ari Seth Cohen is a project documentary film focusing on the overlooked segment of America's population, people over 60.  "About Style" follows older women living in New York City who still have fashion and spirit for life,"

The current project needs funding to become a full fledged documentary. Lina and Ari are embracing the use of Kickstarter, a crowd funding website for creative projects. The  project is currently looking for "crowdsourcing" of $35,000 by June 23, 2012.

Piloplyte and Cohen's project follows the daily lives of fashionable seniors in New York City for three years,  portraying their lives as they overcome age challenges and revealing how each character age with grace and zeal for life.

"These portraits of women aging gracefully with tremendous spirit will challenge the conventional ideas about beauty, growing old, and Western culture's increasing obsession with youth." according to Piloplyte and Cohen.

The project film aims to bring "greater conversation" about embracing age and living life to the fullest.

In a interview with BlackBook Magazine Cohen emphasized his love for mature women's aesthetics's dates back to watching old movies and vintage shopping with both of his grandmothers as a little boy. "I want these older women to be role models for us on how to live life to the fullest," said Cohen.

The project need more funding to finish up editing, sound, color mastering and music licensing, plus cost for festival entries and film distribution.

"Our Senior starlets share their tips for choosing accessories, and perhaps more importantly, how they cope with their changing physical appearances and abilities, sex at an older age and inevitably, death, No topic is off limits," according to Cohen.

The project sponsors believe the film will inspire audiences with extraordinary personalities and incredible insight of the women they've met.
