Although Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have been broken up for a while, it looks like the "Baby" singer is making his way back into his ex-girlfriend's life as she recently split with Zedd. Now that "The Heart Wants What It Wants" singer is single again, Bieber is hoping he has a chance at getting back with Gomez.

Bieber recently opened up about his love life to Seventeen magazine and revealed what kind of girl he's looking for.

"I need healthy relationships with people I can feel safe with. People I can say whatever to, and I'm not going to be judged," said Bieber. "In a girl, I want someone who's confident in herself and honest. I have to find her very attractive and as someone I can see myself with for the rest of my life."

It appears that Gomez fits the description and we wouldn't be surprised if Bieber was stating all the characteristics of Gomez since he reportedly wants her back. He is apparently trying to get her to go on a date with him again and the two have allegedly been texting nonstop. However, Gomez is apparently skeptical about giving Bieber another chance because she doesn't want to get hurt again.

"Selena is not getting her hopes up, she's trying not to read too much into it. By now she knows firsthand that with Justin, actions speak louder than words. She's letting him do the work and will be on the one in the end who decides if they actually will meet up in person," said a source to Hollywood Life. "It's just awkward and nerve-wracking for her. She kind of knows deep down inside that avoiding him is most likely the best choice."

Bieber has apparently been texting Gomez a lot since he saw her at the Met Gala on May 4.

"Selena's been getting texts from Justin since they spoke at the Met Ball," said the source. "He texted her that night, saying how beautiful she looked. Since then, they have texted a few times. He wrote that he wants to see her when she gets back to LA."

Cameras apparently caught Bieber calling out about how he thought Gomez "looked gorgeous at the Met Ball."
