NYX Cosmetics announced NYX Cosmetic Fine Artistry of Cosmetic Elites (FACE) Awards - a youtube video based competition with various beauty vloggers competing to be the FACE beauty vlogger of the Year.
The NYX FACE awards allows the cosmetic company to reach a growing audiences by tapping into the growing number of Youtube beauty guru community.
NYX Cosmetics is founded by Toni Ko. Ms. Ko has been involved in color cosmetics since she was a teenager and has always desired to create and share a line of cosmetics that provided quality products at approachable prices. NYX Cosmetics are sold in Ulta Beauty Stores, Brass Plum in Nordstrom and Bed Bath & Beyond. There are over 10,000 Beauty supply and beauty salons throughout the US that sells the product.
The competition consists of judges naming top 30 contestants vying to compete in challenges ranging from "Retro 80's" to "Dark Shadows." the contestants create their own video tutorials that showcase their creativity and passion for makeup. Contestants videos are then voted by the public.
Currently, the final stages of the competition are coming to a close, the top six remaining finalist will be flown to Los Angeles to present their final looks during a live runway competition on June 24th, at the Pasadena convention Center during the International Makeup Artist Trade Show (IMATS).
The winner will be awarded a cash prize of $25,000 and receive consults with top industry experts, which will gain national notoriety, runner ups will receive a year's worth of NYX Cosmetics and a $1,000 cash prize.
