Fashion Model Coco Rocha is unhappy with Elle Brazil as they airbrushed the cover image of the model to make it look like she was nude underneath an open sheer dress.
The model was on the cover of Elle Brazil may issue. Holding nudity values and morals as high priority, the model made sure she wore a body suit under the sheer blue dress she wore to pose for the cover shot. However the magazine allegedly photoshopped the picture which now looks like the model was bare - chested
The model who is very strict about not crossing moral boundaries tweeted, "Why I'm not impressed with the photoshop on my recent Elle Brazil cover. As a high fashion model I have long had a policy of no nudity or partial nudity in my photo shoots. For my recent Elle Brazil cover shoot I wore a body suit under a sheer dress, but recently discovered that the body suit was Photoshopped out to give the impression that I am showing much more skin than I actually was or am comfortable with. This was specifically against my expressed verbal and written direction. I'm extremely disappointed that my wishes and contract were ignored. I strongly believe every model has a right to set rules for how she is portrayed and for me these rules were clearly circumvented."
"It gets better for those who talk about it. So when I talk about it, people realize, 'She has a voice, she's going to say something, so maybe we should worry about that and worry about Coco's needs and wants instead of how she looks,'" she told the Huffington Post. "But the girls that don't say much, it probably still could be hard for them. But for me, personally, I've made it better for myself. So I wish I could do it for all the girls and maybe one day we all can do that. But I think it really is up to the girls to stand up for themselves and have that courage to do it, and it will all be okay."
