Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill may be keeping mum on their rumored engagement after the "Truffle Butter" rapper showed off a stunning 15-carat diamond ring via Instagram, however, despite rumors that suggest the couple are not engaged, sources close to the duo reveal that Minaj's ex, Safaree Samuels, is wishing her the best.

Urban Islandz reports that while there is no official confirmation of the duo's engagement, despite Minaj's close friend Drake seemingly congratulating her on the exciting news during a concert in Los Angeles, ex-boyfriend Samuels is extending his well wishes to the "Anaconda" rapper as well.

A source close to the Trinidadian rapper reveals, "Safaree is not bitter nor does he hate Nicki, in fact it is the opposite, he still very much loves and cares for her deeply so it was no surprise when he reached out and congratulated her and wished her all the best."

The source also adds that Samuels still believes Minaj is his soulmate, despite her calling off their nearly eleven-year long relationship to date Meek Mill.

"They are soul mates and 12 years together is not something that you can just get over overnight."

The news comes only days after Samuels' rumored girlfriend, Sophia Body, threw major shade at the songstress when she confirmed that Samuels "clearly" was responsible for Minaj's commercial success, noting that he writes nearly all of Minaj's lyrics.

Samuels also recently combated rumors that he was seeking revenge on Minaj for her swift engagement to the Philly rapper by leaking nude photos of her on Twitter. Samuels urged fans to be cautious of fake social media accounts pretending to be him and insisted that he wasn't responsible for the nude and partially nude photos of Minaj appearing online.

Currently, both Minaj and Samuels are focusing on their musical careers; Minaj is currently working on the European leg of her Pinkprint Tour while Samuels is busy promoting his new mixtape, "It Is What It Is."
