Singer Katy Perry avoided a stint of embarrassment at the ASCAP Pop Music Awards ceremony where she experienced a close wardrobe malfunction that nearly revealed her left breast.

Katy Perry has never been the one to back down when it comes to showing a little (or sometimes a little extra) bit of flesh by wearing revealing clothes. However, last night, the singer faces a situation where she nearly revealed a bit more than she would have bargained for as she faced a near wardrobe malfunction.

The singer was at the ASCAP Pop Music Award wearing an off white embellished sheer dress. As if it wasn't enough that the dress was transparent, the strap slipped off her shoulder as she posed for a shot on the red carpet. Even though Perry was not wearing a bra, she managed to avoid any embarrassment as the strap didn't slip further revealing her left breast. The singer continued posing for the cameras. Keeping this aside, Perry looked absolutely gorgeous at the event. With bright red lipstick and heavy mascara, she looked nothing less than an angel. For accessories, she wore a sleek hair band sort of a thing with small flowery objected that matched her dress. On her wrist she wore a pearl chain wrapped loosely around her wrist. The dress clung beautifully to her voluptuous body showcasing her curves.

She won an award for her song E.T. and her other hit Teenager Dream was honoured among the most performed songs. Earlier that day, she put up pictures on her twitter account of herself promoting her upcoming concert movie Part of Me. Below that she wrote "Shot my official *MOVIE* poster last night! SO EXCITED."

Katy Perry has also been seen having a ball of a time at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival in California this week. She was spotted crowd-surfing while her friend and famous super star Rihanna took the stage. Rihanna's new film released yesterday and is receiving rave reviews from audience and critics alike.
