Along with the success of the "Twilight" saga, Taylor Lautner gained worldwide recognition for playing teen wolf Jacob in the movie franchise. After the movie adaptation wrapped up, he is continuously proving the world that he should not be typecast as just a shirtless shapeshifter.

Lautner's latest film entitled, "Tracers," was released this week and as per Toronto Sun's previous report, the former "Twilight" alum plays the role of a New York messenger who falls in with a group of parkour-practicing criminals. Though the film has been largely criticized for not guaranteeing cinematic immortality, Lautner remains unfazed.

As seen in the movie trailer, Lautner showed off his skills in parkour – an equipment-free sport that uses urban spaces as obstacle courses. And in a recent interview, the actor revealed doing several "intense and extremely dangerous stunts" for his new film.

"I did more stunts in this movie than I think I'll do in the rest of my career - very dangerous stunts," he said. "If I slipped the littlest bit, it would not have ended pretty. I'm thankful for the producers and the insurance company for allowing me to do as much as I did."

Despite doing all of his dangerous stunts for the action film, the 23-year-old actor admitted that he, too, has fears, and the greatest of which is his fear of mice. Scientifically, this is known as musophobia.

According to People, Lautner even revealed that his phobia is currently taking a toll on him.

"I am filming in Santa Fe right now and there are so many mice around my house," the "Abduction" star said. "I go to bed every night afraid that a mouse is going to sleep with me."

Since Lautner had to sprint through some risky feats in "Tracers," USA Today revealed that he trained for four months in parkour before the filming of the movie started. And because the goal of the film was to deliver as many parkour stunts as possible to make it very real, Lautner had to become a natural adrenaline junkie.

"I love it. I'm quite a daredevil in real life so this was a perfect movie for me," he said. "I definitely spent a lot of time arguing with the producers to allow me to do stuff that I probably shouldn't have been doing."

"Tracers," which also features Marie Avgeropoulous, hit theaters nationwide on March 20.
