Giles proved that black lipstick can be romantic at the brand's London Fashion Week Fall 2015 runway show on February 23, when top models including Kendall Jenner, Andreja Pejic (making her post-transition runway debut), Edie Campbell and Lily Donaldson walked the runway wearing the goth staple and schoolgirl braids with bows.

"It was all a bit Gothic - gorgeous, porcelain skin, lots of shading around the eyes and a big glossy black mouth," makeup artist Lucia Pieroni told WWD

Pieroni broke down the look for Style.com. "There's lots of shading around the eyes and cheeks, but it's so extremely soft and subtle that it's barely detectable," she said, revealing that she used MAC's Ebony Pencil, Pro Lipmix in Black and Burgundy and clear gloss to create the dark lip. Models also wore statement brows with minimal eye makeup.

"We took a plain schoolgirl plait and broke it down," hairstylist Sacha Mascolo-Tarbuck added of the models' hair. "It's really flat and neat at the front, but then we pulled out pieces at the sides."

Andreja Pejic took to Instagram to praise the look. "The incredible beauty look at #Giles yesterday by the master @lucia_pieroni hair by @sydhayeshair Got to love a good dark lip! Definitely becoming a big trend," she captioned a selfie.
