Fashion weeks have always been all about top designers from Paris and Milan. However, that wasn't the case at the Essex Fashion Week. This time round, the Fashion week was not about the Chanels, Diors, Largerfelds and Givencys of the world, but their very own Amy Childs open the glorious event.
Childs looked stunning as she took the ramp flaunting her very new clothing collection. Previously the 21- year-old was said to have been snapped at the CEME conference Center in Rainhan where she was portraying her new collection. This was not the first time the young designer left the audience awestruck as she joined her models on the runaway wearing some of her excellent designs. Childs had previously walked the ramp when she had debuted the collection in Camden, North London last month.
Childs looked absolutely charming in a lemon dress teemed with brown footwear. A sparkly playsuit that the designer wore was definitely the show stealer. Other items from the collection that the young designer donned included a strapless white dress with a ballerina style tutu skirt, a black and white striped skirt put together with a black and white polka dot top.
And in true Essex style, she then came out in an outfit which had taken inspiration from one of the well known catchphrases from her former reality TV show. She wore a pair of pink and leopard print leggings, with a white T-shirt emblazoned with the slogan Well Jel.
For the event, Childs arrived wearing a studded black dress and a perfectly matched pair of obligatory heels with sexy spikes. Cousin Harry Derbidge was present at the event to cheer Childs on.
All in all, it seemed to be a good day for Childs as she tweeted "Had the best day at #essexfashionweek everyone loved my collection xxx". When Childs first launched her collection in London last month, she had tweeted, "I am so happy with my Spring/Summer 2012 Clothing Collection - there's something for all women and this range has some gorgeous bright colours which are perfect for the summer months. I hope that everyone loves them as much as I do."
