Nicki Minaj is yet to get over her spree of weird hairdo and fashion statements than has been going on for a week now. This time, the 26 years old rapper sports, what seems like underwear as an over wear as she appears at the Nokia Fashion Launch wearing a black corset over black striped tights. But that's not all. Under the sorest, she wore a white long-sleeved shirt.

Two weeks running, this celebrity has been sported donning colourful outfit with even more colourful hairdos. 'I told my stylist, "I've been doing so much colour recently, just get me black. Put me in black. Black, black, black everything,"' Nicki told Today show anchor Matt Lauer yesterday.

Her outlandish attire was topped with large gold loops for accessories and black boots for footwear. For makeup Minaj wore a bright pink shade of lipstick and heavy mascara. A platinum wig was the last touch to her get-up.

The singer was thrilled at being asked to perform at the launch and said ""When Nokia came to me with the idea to make a building come alive and to perform in Times Square in front of my fans to celebrate the launch of the Nokia Lumia 900 there was only ever one answer. To see the idea on paper was amazing but to see it for real blew me away. It brought Times Square to a standstill. The absolute bonus for me is that my fans, who have been so loyal to me, are now part of the video for the Starships Nokia remix. Performing in my home town of NYC the same week as the release of my new album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded is amazing and it really is a dream come true."

Minaj has always maintained that Madonna has been her inspiration. Recently, the singer released her new album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. While critics slam her attempt at pop, they do give her credit when it comes to "hard, confrontational rap songs."
