Previous reports claimed that Gomez and Zedd have become good friends since they started working on a new project together. Not only that, Gomez has recently signed under Zedd's label, Interscope Records, and the chart-topping DJ is producing Selena's 2015 record.

The romantic rumors between them surfaced when they were photographed holding each other's hands at a Golden Globes afterparty last week.

However, insiders insist that for now the former Disney star and the 'Stay The Night" hit maker are in the phase of getting to know each other.

"They are working together on her new album, so yeah, they have become close," one insider told Us Weekly. "It's nothing but a close friendship so far."

News about Gomez and DJ Zedd's closeness surfaced amid reports that the "Spring Breakers" actress is officially moving on from her bad boy ex Justin Bieber.

Born Anton Zaslavski, DJ Zedd is a Russian-German music producer and DJ who has worked with big artists like Foxes, Ariana Grande and Hayley Williams, Perez Hilton has learned.

The 25-year-old is has won two Beatport remix contests and even bagged a Grammy for "Clarity."
