Sephora will soon debut Marc Jacobs cosmetic line together with the beauty chain. The product line is in its early stages of development, but Marc is pleased with the progress so far.

"I see makeup, fragrance- everything, really - as an opportunity," Mark Jacobs told WWD.
"The idea of choosing a color for your lip, or an eyeliner - it's just such a delight. The ritual of waking up and making those choices is something people really enjoy. We currently are working on defining what Marc Jacobs cosmetics will be, what they'll say, what makes them distinctive. I think that will take some time, but the first meeting was good."

He continues to share about the product line and fashion, stating, "I love the opportunity, wherever there is one, to adorn, to decorate, to scent, to dress. That's what fashion's all about. It's not necessary, it's something you want - it's a fancy and a whim."

It sounds like a product to keep an eye out for. Marc is not the first in his field to follow up with a cosmetic line after successfully doing business in fragrances. Tom Ford has accomplished it with a smashing success.
