Creed's frontman, Scott Stapp, reportedly threatened to kill United States President Obama, and his alarmed wife and sister-in-law made a desperate 911 call to stop him, The Herald News reported.

According to TMZ, Scott's sister-in-law told 911 that the singer was cruising around his neighborhood, shirtless on a bicycle with a backpack filled with items including papers he purportedly received from the CIA, hard drives and tools including a wrench and screwdriver, adding that the former Creed frontman claimed to be a CIA agent and his mission was to kill Obama.

"He think he's part of the CIA," Scott's wife, Jaclyn, said on the 911 call. "He thinks they're trying to kill him and he has a bunch of paperwork in his backpack that [says] he's a CIA agent and he was supposed to assassinate Obama."

Jaclyn and Scott's sister-in-law also pleaded with the dispatcher to take the singer in and bring him back to the psych ward, where he went AWOL from late last month. And while the police were being dispatched, Scott made his own 911 call claiming that his wife stole his truck, which was why he's using his bike.

In Scott's 911 call, which was obtained by TMZ, he said he was going to report a stolen vehicle. "My wife said that she took it, she's selling it and she's keeping the money and I can f*** off."

Meanwhile, when the cops arrived, Scott explained that his wife only wanted him to be locked-up because he confronted her about pilfering US$6 million from him.

The authorities ultimately determined that Stapp did not show enough troubling behavior to be taken to another psychiatric hold.

Meanwhile, the Secret Service, which investigates threats against the President and his family, is looking into the incident. "We are aware and we'll take appropriate action," Secret Service spokesperson Nicole Mainor told People.
