Taylor Swift's 25th birthday is certainly one she will never forget after Aretha Franklin sang her "Happy Birthday," E! News reported.

After sit-down conversation with 2014 Billboard Women in Music honorees Taylor Swift, Jessie J, Charli XCX, Hayley Williams, Ariana Grande and Idina Menzel in Music Luncheon in New York City on Friday (December 12), Aretha Franklin - who received the Icon of the Year honor -- stunned Swift with a surprise rendition of "Happy Birthday."

Swift was on hand to receive the prestigious Woman of the Year Award from Billboard, while Franklin was named Icon of the Year by record industry impresario Clive Davis.

Shortly after the special moment, Swift took to Twitter and wrote, "Aretha Franklin just sang 'Happy Birthday' to me and it will take me decades to recover. #goals"

During her acceptance speech, the "Blank Space" singer expressed her gratitude at being given the prestigious award.

"Being named Billboard Woman of the Year for a second time is this amazing early birthday present," the singer said, according to Billboard.

"I turn 25 at midnight tonight," Swift said. "And I fully intend on partying like it's 1989." After being met with polite giggles and groans, Swift admitted, "I knew it would be a bad joke when I wrote it, but I just did it anyway!"

On a more serious note, Swift said that " "Events like this where we have the most powerful people in music all gathered in one room, events like this give me hope that the right conversations will start to take place, and I invite you all to join in the conversation."

She added that the greatest moment for her in 2014 was when her fans went out and bought more than a million copies of her album, which proved that "if you provide them with a bold statement and pour your life into an album, they'll buy it."
