Television actor and model Corey Sligh has been spending the past two days in hospital after getting hit by a car and beaten on Thanksgiving, according to CBS.

The "Young and the Restless" actor took to Instagram to share about his condition. The incident left Sligh with a broken arm.

He posted a photo of himself in a hospital bed at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and captioned it: "Hey kids, went to feed some people last night who don't have blessed thanksgivings and along the way got struck by a driver."

"Have a surgery to go and another couple days in the hospital but should be fine soon! Thankful to still be on this great planet! Love y'all!" the caption continued.

Sligh and his girlfriend Alisa Berhorst were on their way to give a meal to a friend at a Rite Aid in West Hollywood when they saw a speeding car, according to People. Sligh called them out for their recklessness but the two men retaliated and beat the actor.

"They almost hit people in the parking lot. They were hitting curbs, and Corey said, 'Please slow down or we're gonna call the cops. Just go home," Berhorst explained to KCAL9 in Los Angeles.

She continued, "The guy walked up on him like, 'I'm in the mood to kill somebody and this is who it's going to be because he told me to be careful and slow down and go away."

According to Los Angeles police, the suspects fled the incident quickly but crashed their car in a nearby area. A witness reportedly helped the police locate the suspects and an arrest was made.

Apart from his stint as a waiter in "Young and the Restless," Sligh also appeared in the shows "All About Lizzie" and "Days of Our Lives" and the film "God is Dead."
