Emma Stone and boyfriend Andrew Garfield were hand in hand while taking a casual stroll in New York City on Tuesday when the actress very subtly flipped off the paparazzi photographing them, E! News reported.

While the 26-year-old actress was walking with Garfield, her left hand was holding hands with her beau's, while her other hand was holding her coat but with the middle finger sticking out for the paparazzi to see.

Stone was sporting a gray hat with sunglasses and wore tight pants, a coat and boots during the stroll, while the "Amazing Spiderman" actor was wearing a blue sweater, dark pants and an oversized jacket.

The couple got some alone time as the actress took some time off from playing Sally Bowles in the broadway show "Cabaret," according to Celebuzz.

Meanwhile, the incident wasn't the first time that the couple sent a message to the photogs.

On Sept. 2012, she and her boyfriend used the paparazzi to send a message to fans about some charitable institutions.

The two held signs containing a "charitable message" in front of their faces as the paparazzi took pictures of them.

"We just found out that there were paparazzi outside the restaurant we were eating in. So...Why not take this opportunity to bring attention to organizations that need and deserve it: www.wwo.org and gildasclubnyc.org. Have a good day!" the sign said.

Meanwhile, Garfield is reportedly in talks to play a part of a Mel Gibson film about the World War II, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The story's focus is on the life of Private First Class Desmond T. Doss, a war hero who received a Congressional Medal of Honor despite his refusal to bear arms because of his religious beliefs.

If the deal goes smoothly, Garfield will be playing the lead role as Doss.
