Angelina Jolie clears up the rumors that she was going to retire soon and says she's set to do a few more before packing it in, E! News reported.

The mother of six has been plagued with rumors of her retiring from acting, and decided to clear the air during an interview with Variety posted yesterday.

"I'll do a few more," Jolie simply said, adding that she was currently working on directing something with her husband, Brad Pitt. She was most likely referring to "By The Sea," which has already started shooting in Malta. Jolie is set to direct the film, which stars herself and Pitt as a troubled married couple.

The actress also told Variety that directing was her first love, saying, "I'm happier when I get to put a camera on another actor and watch them do great work."

The 39-year-old also spoke to Du Jour about continuing to direct and eventually retiring the acting part of her life.

"Directing is very different from acting because it takes more than two years of your life, so it has to matter-really matter-in a different way," she told Du Jour. "I've never been comfortable as an actor; I've never loved being in front of the camera. I didn't ever think I could direct, but I hope I'm able to have a career at it because I'm much happier."

When she was asked directly if she had plans to eventually give up acting, Jolie reportedly smiled and said, "Absolutely."

Jolie has so far directed two films, 2011's "In the Land of Blood and Honey," which was set during the Bosnian war, and this year's war drama film "Unbroken."

Jolie told Variety that after being hired to direct "Unbroken," she had the opportunity to meet and befriend Olymic runner, Louis Zamperini, on whom the film's story was based on. Zamperini was on a World War II search-and-rescue mission when his plane crashed and he was lost at sea for 47 days. He was sent to a Japanese prison camp and tortured before coming home and becoming an inspirational speaker.

Jolie was able to show Zamperini a cut of the film before the former runner died due to complications from pneumonia. Zamperini was 97 years old.

"They say you should never meet your heroes, because they often disappoint you," Jolie said to Variety. "But Louis really was one of the greatest people ever."
