Jennifer Lawrence talked about her love for the "Hunger Games" films and how she continues to deal with the downside of fame by having a good laugh, The Star reported.

Lawrence, known for her roles in "The Hunger Games" films and the "X-Men" sequels, gave an exclusive interview to The Star and talked about the fame game.

When asked about her love of and role in "The Hunger Games" films, Lawrence said, "Even though it's completely a passion of mine and I love it and I love the character and couldn't be happier to be a part of it, I did want some time in between to show audiences that I can also do other characters."

"I didn't want it to be my sole identity. So it was important to get some smaller, different things in between," she added.

She also talked about being able to grow with "Hunger Games" character, Katniss Everdeen, and talked about becoming a role model.

"You are growing with somebody and growing into somebody," she said. "I am just an actress, not the leader of anything important, but I knew that becoming a role model was going to come with this job, and if young people are listening to you, you have be careful about what you're saying, which is not my strong suit, so I'm trying to work on that."

She also expressed that she was well aware of the downside to fame.

"A loss of privacy and control over things that, just out of human decency, you should have control over," she said. "The technology has changed a lot, the media has changed, but the laws haven't changed at all; so it's become really difficult. Being chased every day, it takes a toll on you."

Lawrence has previously made headlines for something other than her movies, such as when private nude photos of herself were leaked alone, according to NEWS.

In August, Lawrence, along with numerous celebrities, became the victim of a hacking scandal where nude photos of herself were leaked online.

"I don't want to change," Lawrence said about the incident, according to NEWS. "But people need to stop being such a**holes."

However, Lawrence seemed to deal with it all with a good sense of humor, as she told The Star.

"Humor has helped me survive," she said. "My dad has this sense of humor and he's taught me to just laugh at myself. I guess I can have an intellectual conversation with somebody and it can be fun for five minutes, but at the end of the day I just want to get back to laughing."

"Everything in my being, everything in my mind, the way that I think, my memory, every part of me feels fulfilled though acting," Lawrence told The Star. "Acting for me was my saving grace. I don't know what else I could really do."

Lawrence's latest film, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1," hits the big screen Friday.
