"Wrecking Ball" hit maker Miley Cyrus took to Instagram to share two photos of her pet pig Bubba Sue getting pedicure, which caused online outrage.

The first photo captioned "pig pig gonna be lookin fresh" shows a close-up of the pig's pedicure, which some commenters called "animal cruelty." In the second photo captioned "pig pig," Cyrus holds the pig while somebody paints its toenails red.

Some of the comments raised concern about the nail polish chemicals. Among the angry comments include "Miley testing nail varnish on animals?? Stupid Americans," "OMG! Are you stupid?! Poor Pig!" and "Miley, pigs aren't a toy. Don't paint them..."

Cyrus' business partners from Billy Bob Products gave her Bubba Sue in August following the death of her pet dog Floyd, according to Examiner.

Just a day before the 21-year-old pop star posted the controversial Instagram photos, a hoax news announcing that Cyrus died of drug overdose circulated on Facebook.

The death hoax was sent through a message offering a link to a video claiming to further explain Cyrus' death. When accessed, it takes the potential victim to a poor imitation of a Facebook page.

"The panic in my sisters voice when she read something about Miley Cyrus being dead. I had to explain about Internet "jokes". #godblessher," Twitter user Kayleigh Kavanagh wrote.

"First thing my dad says this morning "Miley Cyrus is dead" NOOO dad she's not!!" Ashley Klibert alsotweeted.

The death hoax has been run on Facebook with very few modifications several times in 2014, according to Softpedia.

Meanwhile, Cyrus recently appeared on "Conan" with The Flaming Lips as the musical guests. They performed "A Day in the Life" by the Beatles.

The Oklahoma City-based psychedelic rocker band frontman Wayne Coyne told News OK, "We talked about Miley Cyrus all the time. We did a series of shows last Halloween where Katy (Weaver), my girlfriend, dressed up as Miley Cyrus."

"It was something we were fascinated with. So for her to reach out to us was pretty funny," Coyne added.
