Microsoft will be releasing a new and cheaper flagship phone in November in Australia, the Nokia Lumia 830, The Australian Financial Review reported.

Microsoft now has two flagship phones, the Nokia Lumia 930 and its more affordable phone, the Lumia 830.

The Lumia 830 is reportedly selling at a price of $579 in Australia, a lower price compared to Apple iPhone 6's $869 price tag and the $796 for the Samsung Galaxy S5, and Microsoft's own $620 for Lumia 930.

The specifications of the Lumia 830 are high end as compared to the 930, but the phone has features befitting its price range, the Smart Company claimed.

The Lumia 930 has a high resolution screen of 1920x1080 pixel OLED display, a 2.2GHz quad core processor, 32 gigabytes of storage, a 20 megapixel main camera and a 2420 mAh batter with wireless charging.

The Lumia 830 on the other hand, will have a 5-inch, 1280x720 pixel LCD screen, a slower processor and less storage at 16 GB. It also has a 10 megapixel camera with an optical image stabilizer.

The Lumia 830 will also be the first Windows phone compatible with Australia's 700MHz spectrum, according to The Herald Sun. It comes with Windows Phone 8.1 and the new Lumia Denim update, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, Microsoft Office Mobile and wireless charging. The phone also comes at a variety of colors such as bright orange, bright green, white and black.

Steve Lewis, the general manager of Microsoft devices in Australia and New Zealand, stated: "With PureView imaging, wireless charging capability and a wealth of other great features, the Lumia 830 delivers the best innovations and experiences from our flagship smartphones at a more affordable price, cementing Microsoft's commitment to offer a competitive Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone for everyone."

The Lumia 830 will be available in early November at Telstra, Optus Corporate and Enterprise and retailers such as Harvey Norman and JB HiFi.
